Dear Future Titan Families,
The East Music Department has important information for you about the options available to students who will be in 6th grade for the 2021-2022 school year. There are two letters linked below, one for current 4th graders and one for current 5th graders. Both of these letters have information about what music classes are available, all the different instruments, how to decide what you are interested in, and a survey to help us know what you are considering. There are also fun and exciting activities in the Virtual Classrooms for each grade level! Click the links below to explore the various music offerings and the instruments involved.
The Music Department will be sending more information throughout the remainder of the year regarding these programs. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to the music teachers for your child’s corresponding school. We are so excited to work with your students as they begin their path to making music for a lifetime! Sincerely, The East Middle School Music Teachers Ms. Caitlin Mihalko, Orchestra - [email protected] Ms. Lena Miles, Choir - [email protected] Mr. Dave Drake, Band - [email protected] We are looking forward to our annual 7th grade Band, Choir, and Orchestra trip to Cedar Point! This trip will take place on Friday May 29th. We leave very early in the morning, before school starts, and usually arrive back to East around 11:00 PM. The trip includes a clinic at Bowling Green University with expert clinicians in Band, Orchestra, and Choir. After the clinic we travel on to Cedar Point where we spend the rest of the day.
